Nicole Flaherty is the Sr. Human Resources Manager at Verizon Wireless. She has worked at Verizon for 12 years in Human Resources and oversees the HR Operations of 900 employees. Nicole manages leadership development programs that help foster upward mobility to highly motivated and diverse employees. Nicole advises leaders on employee relations issues and supports engagement efforts with the Verizon workforce such as volunteerism, health and wellness, continuing education and work/life balance. Nicole supports and trains programs to employees that support Verizon's efforts in strong diversity and inclusion.

Nicole is proud to work for an organization that recognizes the importance of diversity in the workplace. Verizon has supported the LGBTQ Community in several different ways: 1)Verizon earned a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign 2018 Corporate Equality Index. 2)In 2017, GLOBE was recognized by Out and Equal as an LGBTQ ERG of the year finalist at the Workplace Summit. 3)Verizon spends more than $5 million with LGBTQ businesses every year as part of our supplier diversity program. 4)Verizon provides LGBTQ-inclusive HR benefits such as same-sex couple adoption benefits. Nicole has a Bachelors degrees in Psychology and a Masters degree in Human Resources Management. Nicole also has a Six Sigma Greenbelt certification. Nicole was born and raised in Tampa. In her personal time, Nicole and her husband Ryan keep busy by raising their two young boys.
