At TMH, we are very proud to have had non-discrimination policies and procedures in place since 2010 that protect and safeguard the right and opportunity of all individuals – including patients, visitors, colleagues and more – to be free from all forms of discrimination, including discrimination based age, race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status or sources of payment for care.
We recognize the importance of respecting and reflecting the wide variety of people we serve, including those members of the LGBTQ community. By embracing and prioritizing diversity and representation, we enrich our organization, our ability to learn from each other and our ability to fulfill our mission.
We know that when colleagues are able to feel safe as their whole selves in our healthcare workplace, they in turn provide better care. We also always want patients, families and our community to feel they can trust TMH to provide care in a culturally safe and affirming environment, regardless of a patient’s background, sexual orientation or gender expression.
