Tom Martinelli is the Florida Public Policy Director at Airbnb, a people powered online marketplace that provides access to millions of unique accommodations from apartments and villas to castles and treehouses in more than 65,000 cities and 191 countries. Prior to joining Airbnb, Tom was on the Government Relations team at the Florida Department of Transportation, served in Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez's administration, and worked on numerous statewide and local campaigns. Today, Tom is working with government leaders and elected officials across the State to achieve safe, legal and fair regulations for Floridians who responsibly wan to rent their properties - or rooms - on a short-term basis.
